INTRODUCTION
Polypharm Private Limited, incorporated in 1961, is today a leading manufacturer and supplier of Pharmacopoeial Chemicals, Disinfectant and Germicide Formulations, Acids, Solvents and Laboratory Reagents. It commenced operations in Thane, before moving to its current factory location at MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) Kalyan, Saravali.

All of Polypharm’s facilities are located within the Mumbai Metropolitan region. Its head office is located in Mumbai city (Fort Area). It factory premises spanning about 3 acres is situated in MIDC Industrial Area, Saravali on Kalyan – Bhiwandi Road. There is also an accounts and administrative office in Thane(W).

QUALITY
Polypharm is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and is regularly audited by top pharmaceutical companies for its quality practices.

It has a full-fledged in house Quality Control Laboratory which functions independently and is equipped with modern equipment including HPLC and GC. Its highly experienced team includes FDA approved chemists who are highly experienced for Quality Control, Quality Assurance and analytical work.

Polypharm follows strict quality control procedures. The company follows widely accepted good manufacturing and laboratory practices.

MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
Spread over about 60,000 sq. ft. Polypharm has a comprehensive manufacturing facility with separate buildings for fine chemicals, disinfectant formulations, acids, solvents and other chemicals. The premises also include a separate building for Stores and a separate approved Explosive warehouse.

MANAGEMENT PROFILE
Mr. Prem R. Gupta, founder and Chairman of the company started operations in 1961. A Chemical and Industrial Engineer educated in India and the USA, he worked with Johnson & Johnson prior to starting Polypharm. He has served on Boards of Bank of India, Elder Healthcare, Norris Medicine and also been advisor to Commerz Bank (Germany), IDBI and IFCI.

Mr. Pankaj P. Gupta, Managing Director of the company. An MBA Finance and spent over a decade in banking & financial services and served in senior positions and strategic management roles in leading Indian and multinationals organizations such as HDFC Ltd and HSBC. His has extensive experience both in India and overseas and manages the operations of the company.

The Senior Management Team also include highly experienced and skilled individuals who are in charge of Sales, Operation, Quality Control and Finance who have been with the company for many years.
